Pause Time on the White Beach of Patar


Continuing my Bolinao series, you can read the first part here, one of the main reasons I go to Bolinao is to relax and unwind on the white sand beach of Patar. This long stretch of white sand along the coast of cape Bolinao is slowly gaining popularity particularly because of the classy resorts situated along its shore and the numerous rock formations scattered the area which has become a favourite by photography enthusiast.

Cape Bolinao Lighthouse

Bolinao, as a coastal town, is mostly known for its white sand beach, yet there are a number of things to see, do or try in this humble coastal town located about two to three drive west of Dagupan City. I myself have been in and out of Bolinao for numerous time the previous year, and would like to share some of the interesting things that you may want to consider when visiting here, through a series of post that I shall aptly name... the Bolinao Series and to start you off, this is the Cape Bolinao Lighthouse

Pre-Nup at Bolinao Preview

Jump Shots at Patar, Bolinao

Summer heat has now fully shifted to high gear, a good thing though that I've been spending my May weekends cooling off. First week, I was at Surip, Bani for our office unit's summer outing; second week, I was at another unit's summer outing (sabit lang)  at Leisure Coast Resort; then after that its two straight weekends at Patar Beach, in Bolinao with different set of friends, just chilling with a bottle of Tanduay Ice in hand, what more can I ask for, right? :)

For the moment, let me just share some of the most unusual jumpshot photos I took of my friends during sunset at Patar :)

Portraits: The Cai Collection

It's been ages since my last post and if Mica was here, she'll be telling me "oi! Mag update ka!" :)) Well I have a very reasonable excuse naman for my backlogs and that is because I'm finally doing what I set out to do. I'm living my life to the fullest and have been squeezing every bit of activity that my weekends and vacation leaves can accommodate and I guess blogging just didn't make the list. Cause seriously, I'd rather stuffed my camera rather than my laptop inside my backpack during my trips. Can't have them both though, that would be a backbreaker :) excuses excuses... :))

Anyhoo, one my recent trips was at Pampanga during the Hot Air Balloon Festival. I was with three other bloggers and a Pokemon. Darwin, the comically-dramatic one; the great and almighty Marky; Cai the diva and apple of Darwin's eye; and ofcourse there was Snorlax :D  and as much as I want to elaborate further, this post is all about Cai and not about that trip. Cai recently started a  weekly project entitled "project 52 looks" on her blog, PinkUrinal.com and with that, I finally have her approval to post my photos of her during our Bolinao trip. Bolinao, Pangasinan: Travel Blogger Tour Experience Day 2

Last November 19-22,2010 - a group of 9 mostly Manila-based bloggers plus myself went on a Western Pangasinan excursion. Headed by true-blue Pangasinenses Anton and Mica, chief organizers of the whole experience, they were eager to show other bloggers the beauty of our hometown. I was fortunate enough to be included in the group that includes such heavy weights as Estan Cabigas (langyaw.com) and Ada (adaphobic.com). Five bloggers arrived during the first day; Mica, Ada, Sir Estan, Robbie, and Darwin to explore central towns such as Dagupan City, Calasiao, Lingayen and experience local delicacies such as Calasiao’s Puto and Pigar-pigar. Day 1 of the official western tour was all about the Hundred Islands at Alaminos City, by now Anton, Gael, Marky, Cai joined to complete the group. Special thanks to Islandia Hotel, Local Tourism Office, and Island Tropic Restaurant for their hospitality during our brief yet memorable stay. And now we come to Day 2, the Bolinao Experience. This trip was made possible by Puerto del Sol Resort who took care of our iterinary, accommodation and even the food :D oh and they have a very cool website, check it out http://www.puertodelsol.com.ph/ . My stay together with the other bloggers at Puerto del Sol was I think just close to perfect that it deserves a separate post :D for now, I’ll just focus on the whole Bolinao experience :D
